New folders can't be renamed
There's an issue in Vista with new folders that can't be renamed. The only way you are able to change folder names is at the Command Prompt.
* Before making any changes to the registry, always make a backup!
This can be resolved by downloading NewFolderFix.zip. Unzip the registry file to your desktop and double click on it to add it to the Registry.
This problem also seems to occur after installing update KB938979. You can download the following registry files to solve this, but only if you experiencing this problem after installing the update. Click here to download the 32 bit version, click here for the 64 bit version.
