Driver installation not remembered
Sometimes Vista keeps searching for drivers everytime you connect a device or restart the computer.
The solution to this is to point the path for drivers to the System32 folder. To do this you have to edit the registry, make sure you have a backup before you start.
Start the Registry Editor by typing regedit into the Start Menu search box and press enter.
Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DevicePath
Double click on it and change the value from %SystemRoot%\inf to %SystemRoot%\System32
