Windows Media Center Receiver Service stopped working and was closed
SYMPTOMS
Consider the following scenario. You add more than one TV
tuner to a Windows Vista-based computer. When you start the
computer, you receive the following error message:
Windows Media Center Receiver
Service stopped working and was closed. A problem caused
the application to stop working correctly. Windows will
notify you if a solution is available.
Also, the Ehrecvr.exe service may stop
unexpectedly. RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available
from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the
problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to
systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This
hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are
not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you
wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.
